Our Pet Sitting Policies
Before starting service for new clients, we will schedule a free consultation meeting with you and your pets in your home. This meeting allows us to become acquainted with you and your pets, learn about any specific needs your pet or home may have, and work with you to set up a customized pet sitting schedule and service plan. We will answer any questions and review the Client and Pet Profiles, Service Agreement, and Policies. The initial consultation visit is complimentary if services are contracted. Otherwise there is a $25.00 charge at the time of your consultation. Two copies of your house key must be provided with payment in full.
New clients must make full payment during the consultation visit. Established clients’ credit cards will be charged at the beginning of the week (Mondays) for services scheduled within that week. Invoices will be subject to a $8.00 late fee for every 10 days the invoice is overdue. A fee of $30 will apply to all returned checks. Client is responsible for all costs of collection.
To make sure we are able to provide quality care and personal attention for your pet we do not overbook. Once you have reserved our services, we may decline other reservations in order to accommodate your schedule. Therefore, no refunds will be given for cancelled visits once time has been reserved. Clients must give a minimum of 48 hours notice to receive credit against future services, which is given at the discretion of Bellevue Pet Sitters, LLC. Credit for unused prepaid service fees will expire after six months.
Bellevue Pet Sitters will collect 2 keys to the client’s home during the initial consultation. In the event your home is secured by keyless entry methods, Bellevue Pet Sitters requests a key as well. This is to ensure that we are able to reach your pets in case the power goes out or the battery should fail. It is recommended that the client allow Bellevue Pet Sitters to retain the key for future pet sitting needs safely in our possession. Keys are kept in a secured lock box and are attached to a tag with a special code. Our key tags don’t list your name or your address, so your privacy is never at risk. If client requests the keys be returned, they can be left inside the locked secured home when we leave after our last visit or they can be returned by certified mail. $15.00 will be charged for the cost of returning keys by certified mail. There will be a $20.00 service charge for each time we have to make a trip to the client’s home to pick up or return keys.
